This release includes the beautiful theme "When I Remember This Life" sung by Kazumi Nikaido alongside the complete soundtrack to Studio Ghibli's 2013 brilliant anime film. This is the first and the last collaborative work by director Isao Takahata and composer Joe Hisaishi.
"The Tale of the Princess Kaguya” follows the story of a bamboo cutter and his wife who find a girl inside a shining stalk of bamboo. This girl grows rapidly into an exquisite, yet mysterious young lady who enthrals all who encounter her. Ultimately the princess must confront her fate, the punishment for her crime.
